Hometowns. Big Stars. Another season of Canada’s ultimate touring hockey festival is back! Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour presented by Scotiabank and Dodge will hit the road again, visiting 24 communities from coast-to-coast to tell the unique stories that unite the country through the sport it loves most – hockey.

 

Free of charge and open to fans of all ages, the jam-packed two-day festival features live entertainment, local celebrities, NHL alumni and a multitude of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Each week concludes with an outdoor viewing party of an NHL® game broadcast nationally on Sportsnet™ and hosted by Ron MacLean and Tara Slone. The Tour makes its first stop of 2017-18 in Niagara Falls, ON on October 7 and 8, at Niagara Parks’ Queen Victoria Park. As part of the opening weekend festivities, award-winning Canadian country star Tim Hicks will perform in his hometown on Sunday evening.

“From having the honour of being on RMC campus over Remembrance Day weekend to shining a light on the recovery efforts in Williams Lake come January, Rogers Hometown Hockey connects Canadians all across the country,” said MacLean. “Every Sunday, we pull out the hockey roadmap and discover a part of Canada and ourselves.”

Live on Sportsnet

Each community that is visited is featured on the weekly Sunday broadcast of Rogers Hometown Hockey on Sportsnet and Sportsnet NOW™. Live on location from the Sportsnet Mobile Studio, MacLean and Slone host a pre-game, intermission and post-game show that highlights the local culture, hockey history and unique stories of each hometown.

Relive the Glory

Leading into the start of the season, fans can get a taste of what to expect by tuning in to The Best of Rogers Hometown Hockey. With four 30-minute episodes, the show compiles some of the most captivating stories from the first three seasons of the Tour, with a sneak peek into how the show comes to life. The shows will air on Sportsnet on Thursdays, with multiple repeat broadcasts throughout the weekend. The first episode debuts Thursday, Sept. 7 at 9:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. PT.

 

Watch to Win!

All season long, fans can tune in to the Sunday night broadcast on Sportsnet and Sportsnet NOW for a chance to win weekly prizes through the Rogers Hometown Hockey Contest. Join the conversation by using each week’s unique hashtag to automatically be entered for a chance to win a number of prizes, including a trip to the 2018 Stanley Cup® Playoffs. The contest begins during the first week’s broadcast on Sunday, Oct. 8 in Niagara Falls and will run right through to the final Rogers Hometown Hockey of the season on Sunday, April 1 from Montreal.
