Britney Spears Fans Outraged At Timbaland 'Muzzle' Comment

Timbaland, who collaborated with Justin Timberlake on ‘Cry Me A River,’ was asked in a recent panel discussion about the song “making headlines again” due to Britney Spears‘ unflattering stories about Justin in her memoir, The Woman In Me. “I wanted to call and say, ‘JT, you gotta put a muzzle on that,’” the producer joked at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., for Sounds Architects: A Producer Conversation on October 30th. The audience laughed, but social media wasn’t so kind, with many calling the comment “disgusting” and “misogynist.” One person on Twitter wrote: “Timbaland saying that Justin Timberlake should have put a ‘muzzle’ on Britney is actually INSANE considering Britney has been treated like a caged animal for the past 13 years,” (referring to Spears’ conservatorship.)
