Taylor Swift marked National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday with a reminder to fans to do their civic duty. “Are you registered to vote yet?” she wrote to her 272 million followers on her Instagram Story. “I’ve been so lucky to see so many of you guys at my US shows recently. I’ve heard you raise your voices, and I know how powerful they are. Make sure you’re ready to use them in our elections this year!” She also included a link to Vote.org, where fans can “register to vote in less than two minutes.” Swift joins a long list of pop stars who have been using their influence to boost voter registration. The non-profit organization HeadCount has registered 150,000 voters in recent years throught partnerships with Harry Styles, Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Paramore, and many more.
